SEX ED STEPH
B.A., B.S., & Certified Sex Educator
My name is Stephanie, I am a first-generation Mexican-American cisgender woman, I'm bisexual, and I am a survivor. I teach sexual education through a reproductive and social justice lens in English and Spanish.
There's no set, accessible path to be a sexual educator. I have a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.S. in Gender and Sexuality Studies from the University of California, Riverside. I am a certified sex educator through the organization, Everyone Deserves Sex Ed. Over the past six years, I've taken on the rolls of a lobbyist for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund of the Pacific Southwest, a Women’s Sexual Health and Empowerment Programmer, and produced The Vagina Monologues. I've been a peer health mentor, a dildo salesperson, a sexual health event organizer, and just generally working hard to cobble together a path as a sexual educator with the meager resources I had to make my community a better place.
